You've found a property to buy and you've completed your loan pre-approval form. Congratulations! You're on your way to making a purchase. But there's still a number of other costs you need to budget for.

One of these costs is Stamp Duty. Stamp Duty is a state government tax on the mortgage amount and purchase price of a property. The amount of Stamp Duty you will be required to pay varies from state to state.
